Xbox360 video and sound through computer

Postby GT on Fri Apr 03, 2009 8:50 pm

Hello, I'm wanting to be able to hook up my xbox 360 to be able to play the video through my computer monitor and the sound through my headset. What hardware/cables do I need?

As far as I know you can definitely hook up the XBOX 360 to the PC's LCD via a propreitary VGA cable from Microsoft, however audio using the XBOX headsets are just for the voice chat.

You could use a TV Tuner card to hook the XBox 360 to your computer and then use a regular headset while playing the game for the audio. That's about the best I can suggest however the tuner would have to be very responsive in order to work correctly.

Say I were to buy the VGA cable, that's just for the video I'm assuming. Is there another way to directly connect the audio output to my headset with some sort of adapter? I use a gaming headset that I use for my computer and not an xbox 360 one.

There is no way that I am aware of to do that.
